Elaine has been my bookkeeper/accountant ever
since I have been in business, which is going on
17 years. I have stayed with her because of her
honesty and her ability to keep me organized. She
always returns phone calls and emails immediately,
which to me is very important as I tend to leave
things to the last minute! I have many friends
in business for themselves and I hear quite often
how dissatisfied they are with their accountants.

Thru one of my clients, I had the opportunity to
attend an in-house QuickBooks course taught by Elaine
from Perfect Balance Accounting. From the get-go
I found Elaine professional and personable. Her knowledge
of QuickBooks was reinforced with her accounting
background. She not only answered QuickBooks questions
but also answered technical financial questions for
the 'bookkeeper' of the class.
Elaine showed how well organized she was by having
computers set up to work with, a prepared QuickBooks
teaching format, being clear and precise in her teaching
method, and by keeping us on track with timing. She

respected most was her ability to say 'I don't know
the answer however I will get back to you' and by

The small class size, with each person having
a computer and being able to actually follow
along and do the entries into an actual data
file along with the instructor is the ideal way
to really learn how to use the program. And I
believe that the hands-on approach really reinforces
the how-to aspect. Some other classes are more
seminar like, where you are just taking notes
and trying to follow the person at the front
of a large room with a screen and a pointer,
which is fine if you are just wanting an overview
of the program. Elaine is also flexible and willing
to work with her students' individual issues
both during the class and afterwards. She has
promptly and thoroughly attempted to answer questions
that I have emailed to her. Elaine even came
to my office and held an afternoon class for
a small group of our staff and fielded more detailed
individual questions, and helped to bring our
other staff members more up to date. I have found
Elaine to be very knowledgeable about the program
and its competitor. She has been an invaluable
resource to me.
