As things continue to evolve with COVID-19, and the requirement for us all to STAY HOME as much as possible, we have decided to make some changes in order to better protect our staff and clients.
We are still working, and will continue to get income taxes, payroll, bookkeeping, and other accounting needs handled in a timely fashion. However, we are no longer open for in-person visits.
IF an in-person meeting is deemed necessary it will be done by appointment only. Please call us (705-652-6347) and we’ll figure it out together.
If an appointment is made with one of us, before coming to our office you must ensure that you:
1. Have NOT traveled outside of ONTARIO in the last 3 weeks (Yes, we are being overly cautious. There are still so many unknowns about this virus). This means if you have returned home to Ontario within the last 3 weeks, DO NOT come to our office!
2. Are NOT experiencing any signs/symptoms of any transmittable illness (cold, flu, COVID-19, etc)
I’m sure everyone has heard that CRA extended the tax filing deadline for this year. This extension is definitely going to help, but it is taking longer to get things processed. We can’t get through on the government phone lines, wait times are over 3 hours for a single call, if we can even get into the queue. PLEASE get your papers to us ASAP.
Signatures are required on the Efile Authorization Forms, and we will work with you on that as well.
We have installed a mail slot in our back door so you can drop your papers off at any time of day or night, without having contact with anyone. When driving around the back of the building look for Door #3, it will have Perfect Balance Accounting on it as well.
If you have access to technology and are able to scan & email your documents we ask that you use that method to send us your tax papers.
If you have any questions at all please give us a call. The phones will be answered even if we move to working from home.
Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation.
